Rapid response, fully documented insurance reinstatement works for residential and commercial properties across London and the South East. We work with loss adjusters, insurers and policyholders directly.
Experienced insurance reinstatement contractors in London.
Damage to your property from fire, flood or escape of water is stressful. The reinstatement process — navigating the claim, the loss adjuster, the scope of works and the rebuild — does not have to be. RCB handles insurance reinstatement works from first inspection through to final handover.
We produce the documentation that loss adjusters and insurers need: a full photographic record of damage, a detailed scope of works and a line-by-line cost breakdown. This accelerates claim approval and removes uncertainty from the reinstatement process.
All works are carried out to pre-loss standard as a minimum. Where the opportunity exists to upgrade elements within the agreed claim value, we will advise you on your options. RCB provides a single point of contact throughout — coordinating structural drying, specialist cleaning, demolition, rebuilding and finishing works.

How It Works
The RCB process for this service.
Rapid Assessment
We attend site within 48–72 hours of instruction. A full photographic record of all damage is produced, along with an initial assessment of scope and any immediate safety or security requirements.
Report & Cost Breakdown
A detailed written scope of works and line-by-line cost breakdown is prepared and submitted to your insurer or loss adjuster. We provide all supporting documentation required to support the claim.
Claim Approval & Instruction
Once the claim is approved, RCB proceeds to site under a formal instruction. We coordinate all specialist trades including structural drying, specialist cleaning, demolition and rebuild.
Reinstatement & Handover
All works are completed to pre-loss standard as a minimum. A final photographic record is produced at handover. All compliance certificates — electrical, gas where applicable — are issued.
Planning & Regulations
All insurance reinstatement works are carried out in accordance with relevant British Standards and Building Regulations. Where structural works are required, engineering input is commissioned and Building Control notified as appropriate. Asbestos surveys are commissioned prior to any demolition or strip-out where ACMs may be present. CDM 2015 duties are managed by RCB throughout.
FAQs
Common questions.
Can you attend site within 48 hours of a claim?
Yes. RCB targets a site assessment within 48–72 hours of instruction for properties in London and the surrounding counties. For emergency security or safety situations — boarding, temporary roofing — we can respond faster. Contact us to discuss your specific situation.
Do you work directly with loss adjusters and insurers?
Yes. RCB is experienced in working alongside loss adjusters and insurers. We produce the photographic evidence records, scope of works and cost breakdowns that loss adjusters require. We attend joint site meetings and respond to queries throughout the claim process.
What types of damage do you cover?
RCB handles reinstatement for fire damage, flood damage, escape of water, storm and wind damage, and impact damage. We cover both residential and light commercial properties. Contact us to discuss the specifics of your claim.
Do you handle structural drying and specialist cleaning?
Yes. RCB coordinates specialist structural drying contractors and smoke/soot cleaning specialists as part of the wider reinstatement package. We manage these as part of the overall project rather than leaving the policyholder to coordinate separately.
What documentation do you provide for the insurer?
RCB provides a full photographic damage record, a written scope of works and a line-by-line cost breakdown formatted to support the claim submission. At handover, we provide a further photographic record of completed works and all relevant compliance certificates.
