About RCB Design & Build
We are a full-service, design-led principal contractor delivering loft conversions, extensions and refurbishments across London. A2Z — from first survey to completion certificate.
Who we are
RCB Design & Build is based in East London and operates as an A2Z principal contractor — which means we take full responsibility for every part of your project, from the initial survey and design coordination through to Building Regulations sign-off and the final completion certificate.
We are not a trades broker or a loose network of subcontractors. We are a structured team with a consistent project management model — one point of contact, one fixed price, one team that doesn't leave until the job is done.
What we do
Our core project types are loft conversions, rear and side house extensions (single and double-storey), full house and flat refurbishments, structural alterations, HMO conversions and garage conversions. We work on both owner-occupier improvement projects and investor and landlord portfolios.
We operate with a strong pre-construction discipline — we spend time understanding what you want to achieve, reviewing any existing drawings, coordinating with your architect or our preferred design partners, and making sure the price we give you is based on the full scope of what the project actually requires.

How we are different
The construction sector is full of contractors who will give you a quote and then add to it. We operate differently: our price is fixed before we start, our scope of works is detailed and in writing, and our variations procedure means nothing extra is ever done without your written agreement first.
We also manage the whole project — not just the build. We coordinate structural engineers, manage Building Control, advise on planning and permitted development, and keep you informed throughout. You deal with one person from first survey to final handover.
