For Beauty Salons, Spas & Nail Studios
Open on the Date You Planned. Not Three Weeks After.
Salon fit-outs need more than a carpenter and a coat of paint. Ventilation compliance. Dedicated M&E. Plumbing for wet stations. A programme that protects your opening date. RCB delivers all of it — under one contract, with one team.
Why Salon Fit-Outs Go Wrong with the Wrong Contractor
Salon fit-outs look simple on paper. Then the builder you chose discovers the ventilation for nail chemicals needs a dedicated extract system, the electrical load for treatment equipment requires a new consumer unit, and the plumbing for your backwash stations needs routing through a concrete floor. None of that was in the quote. The project runs three weeks late, your booking system has clients waiting, and you are haemorrhaging revenue while paying rent on an unfinished shell. This is what happens when a general builder takes on a specialist fit-out.
RCB delivers salon fit-outs with full M&E, ventilation compliance and a programme built around your trading deadlines — not after them.

Three Reasons Salon Owners Choose RCB
Your opening date is everything. Here is how RCB protects it.
Solutions
We solve the technical problems salon fit-outs require: COSHH-compliant ventilation, dedicated electrical circuits for treatment loads, plumbing for wet areas, and carpentry for your brand aesthetic — all under one accountable contractor.
Convenience
One contractor manages M&E, joinery, flooring and decoration. You deal with one programme, one variation process and one point of contact — instead of coordinating a sparky, a plumber, a carpenter and a decorator who have never worked together before.
Experience
The result is a salon your clients notice: lighting that flatters, stations that work perfectly, ventilation you cannot hear but can always rely on. Finished on the date you planned to open — with all the certificates your insurer and landlord need.
How Your Fit-Out Works
Four stages from brief to opening day — with your revenue protected throughout.
Brief & M&E Assessment
We review your layout, equipment schedule and lease conditions. We check existing electrical capacity, drainage routes and extraction options before pricing — so the quote reflects what the project actually needs.
Itemised Cost Plan
A full, itemised cost plan covering carpentry, M&E, ventilation, flooring, decoration and building control where required. Suitable for landlord consent applications and fit-out finance submissions.
Programme-Led Fit-Out
Works sequenced to hit your target opening date. M&E first, structure and partitions, then finishes. Phased handover available if you need to open a section early.
Opening-Ready Handover
Full handover: electrical certificate, gas certificate if applicable, ventilation commissioning record, building control sign-off and warranties. Ready to trade the day you planned.
Why Salon Owners Trust RCB
The accreditations your landlord, insurer and fit-out lender ask to see.

Salon Fit-Out FAQs
Do you install nail salon ventilation systems?
Yes. Nail salon ventilation requires a dedicated extraction system to manage chemical vapours from acrylics and gels — this is a COSHH obligation, not optional. We design and install extraction systems appropriate to the number of nail stations and the chemical products in use. The system is commissioned and documented at handover.
Can you work overnight or at weekends to minimise trading downtime?
Yes. For salon refurbishments where closing completely is not commercially viable, we can phase works and schedule the noisiest, dirtiest elements outside trading hours. This takes longer overall and carries a modest cost premium, but can be the right choice for high-revenue salons. Discuss your trading calendar with us at the outset.
Do I need building control for a salon fit-out?
It depends on the scope. If you are changing the use of a premises, installing a new extraction system, making structural alterations or adding a mezzanine, building control is likely required. We review this at brief stage and include any necessary applications in the programme and cost plan. We do not skip building control to save time — it protects you legally and with your insurer.
Can you provide a quote for my landlord consent application?
Yes. Most commercial leases require tenant improvement consent, which typically needs an itemised cost plan and method statement showing what works are proposed. We produce both as a standard part of our commercial fit-out process.
What if I want to supply my own furniture and fittings?
No problem. We work on a supply-and-fix or fix-only basis depending on your preference. Many salon owners source their own chairs, styling stations and reception furniture — we will install and connect them as part of the fit-out. Just confirm what you are supplying at the brief stage so we can coordinate delivery timing.
