How to Apply

Two things to send us: your CV and a short video.

Send your CV to connect@rcbGroup.co.uk along with a 3–5 minute video presentation of yourself. A phone recording is absolutely fine — we are not judging production quality.

In your video, tell us: who you are, your experience, your skills, and why you want to work with RCB. This is your chance to show us the person behind the CV.

We review your video before we read your CV — so make it count.

Prefer to message? You can apply via WhatsApp too — just send your CV and your 3–5 minute video the same way. We read every application and reply to candidates who are a good fit.

Questions from Applicants

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a CSCS card to work at RCB?
For most site-based roles a valid CSCS card is required, and for labourers it is essential. If you do not yet hold a CSCS card, we can support you in obtaining one — it is one of the ways we invest in our team. Office-based and remote roles such as Operations Coordinator and Marketing Assistant do not require a CSCS card.
What areas do you cover?
RCB works across London and the surrounding areas, including East, North, South and West London, as well as Essex and Kent. Most site roles are based on projects within Greater London and the South East. The Marketing Assistant role can be carried out remotely for the right candidate.
Do you hire subcontractors?
Yes. Many of our trades — including carpenters, electricians, plumbers, plasterers, bricklayers, tilers, roofers and painters — work with us on a subcontract or contract basis. We value reliable, high-quality subcontractors who want a steady pipeline of well-managed work. We also employ team members directly in roles such as site management, labouring and office positions, which come with holiday pay and pension contributions.
What is the interview process?
It starts with you sending your CV to connect@rcbGroup.co.uk — or messaging us on WhatsApp — together with a 3–5 minute video presentation of yourself (a phone recording is fine). Tell us who you are, your experience, your skills and why you want to work with RCB. We review your video before we read your CV. If there is a fit, we arrange an informal chat — by phone, video or in person. For trade roles we will discuss your tickets, certifications and recent work. Successful candidates are then invited to start, often with a trial period on a live project so both sides know it is the right fit.
Do I need my own tools and transport?
We provide professional tools, plant and equipment on our sites. Many of our trades bring their own hand tools, but specialist equipment is supplied. Reliable transport is helpful for getting to sites across London, but is not essential for every role.
What qualifications and certifications do you look for?
It depends on the role — for example, Part P certification for electricians and Gas Safe registration (preferred) for plumbers. Across all roles we look for relevant experience, the right tickets for the trade, a strong commitment to health and safety, and pride in the quality of your work. Where you are missing a card or qualification, we will often support you in getting it.

Ready to build your career with RCB?

Whether you are a tradesperson looking for steady, well-managed work or a professional ready for a new challenge — we want to hear from you.
