Nursery Fit-Out FAQs
Do you build to EYFS and Ofsted requirements?
Yes. We build the fabric of the setting — space planning, safeguarding sightlines, safe surfacing, secure access, sanitary provision, fire safety and food-safe kitchens — to support the EYFS framework and the standards Ofsted inspect against. Registration with Ofsted remains the provider's responsibility, but we make sure the building supports a successful registration and provide documentation to evidence the works.
Can you design layouts that support safe supervision?
Yes, and this is central to how we plan a nursery. We design rooms and outdoor areas with clear sightlines so staff can supervise children without blind spots, position secure entry and circulation to control access, and lay out activity zones to meet EYFS space and ratio requirements. Safeguarding drives the layout, not the other way around.
Do you handle outdoor play areas and safe surfacing?
Yes. We install impact-absorbing safe surfacing, secure fencing and gates, drainage and accessible outdoor areas, all designed for young children. We treat the outdoor environment as part of the safety design from the outset, not as a finishing afterthought.
