Can you provide proof of Public Liability Insurance (minimum £2M, ideally £5M+)?
Do you carry Employers’ Liability Insurance for your workers and subcontractors?
Are you a registered UK company — and can I verify your details on Companies House?
Do you hold any recognised trade accreditations or memberships — and can you provide current certificates?
Will you use a written contract? What does it cover?
What is your payment schedule — and do you require a large deposit upfront?
Will you provide a fixed price, and what is your variation procedure?
Who is your Building Control contact, and how do inspections work?
Who will manage the site day-to-day? Will I have a named project manager?
Can I see references or verified reviews from similar projects in the last 12 months?
Will I receive a Building Regulations Completion Certificate on completion?
What is included in your cleanup and handover process?
