Our approach

How we work with public sector clients

01

Initial scope discussion

We meet with your project lead or estates team to understand the scope, constraints, procurement route, and programme requirements. No obligation and no cost.

02

Documented tender or quotation

We provide a clear written tender or quotation against the agreed scope, broken down to the level your approval and procurement process requires.

03

Works programme

Before work begins, we issue a programme with start date, phasing (where applicable), access requirements, and key milestones. Communicated to all relevant stakeholders.

04

Signed-off snagging and handover

Works are inspected and snagged to completion. We provide handover documentation, photographic records and any required compliance certificates before final sign-off.

Common questions from public sector clients

Are you insured for public sector and housing work?+
Yes. rcbGroup carries public liability and employers' liability insurance appropriate for public sector, housing association and occupied-premises work. We are happy to provide current certificates at tender or pre-qualification stage. We can also provide evidence of our CHAS registration and trade accreditations on request.
Can you work in occupied properties?+
Yes — we manage this regularly. Whether that is occupied residential blocks, schools during term time, or clinical environments, we work to an agreed access plan, produce the relevant RAMS, and communicate clearly with building occupants. Our operatives are briefed on working in sensitive environments before any occupied-premises instruction starts.
Do you provide method statements and risk assessments?+
Yes, always. Method statements, risk assessments and COSHH assessments are produced for every instruction as standard — not on request. We understand that public sector clients require these documents before work commences, and we do not expect to be chased for them.
What areas of London do you cover?+
We operate across Greater London and surrounding counties. We currently work in boroughs across East, South East, South West, West and Central London. For housing association and local authority clients with geographically spread portfolios, we can discuss coverage on a case-by-case basis.
Can you quote against a schedule of works?+
Yes — quoting against a provided schedule of works is our preferred approach for public sector instructions. It enables like-for-like comparison of tenders, speeds up approval processes, and ensures the works are clearly defined before any instruction is issued. We can also produce our own schedules where required.
